Seeking therapy may be scary sometimes, and I understand that. That is why I focus on building a safe and nurturing relationship that allows you to explore emotions without judgment so we can work toward acceptance and change. I use a person-centered approach, encouraging teamwork and empowering you to direct the sessions. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences may affect your decisions and feelings about yourself and other aspects of life.

Depending on your needs, I may also incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, CBT, solution-focused, and mindfulness. I will help you feel seen and heard as we explore your authentic self and look at root causes that impact the present. As we explore healthier paths toward symptom relief, growth and healing are tailored to your needs.

I have a client-centered focus. I believe that meeting you where you are in a safe and nonjudgmental space is key to beginning the healing process. I have experience working with diverse cultures and orientations, guiding my practice to be multiculturally affirming. By exploring past attachments and how they impact you in the present, we can discover purposeful connections and meaning in your lives.

I use a combination of CBT, DBT, attachment, and mindfulness. We will explore how you relate to others and the self while working towards being present in the here and now. My areas of experience are addiction, attachment issues and trauma, depression/anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem/body image issues, sexual dysfunction, racial and discrimination trauma, and grief.

I enjoy working with clients with diverse lived experiences. With neurodivergent clients, I work within the neurodiversity paradigm, recognizing neurodivergence as a component of identity, rather than pathology. Together we may explore depression, anxiety, trauma, gender and sexual identity, relationship dynamics, life transitions, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing tendencies, or boundary-setting, among other patterns. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered, meaning that I treat each client as the expert of their own life and emphasize the importance of the therapeutic relationship.

In 2023, I became certified in AutPlay therapy. This is a unique framework for working with neurodivergent children, emphasizing that no child needs therapy because they are neurodivergent; rather, they need therapy when they have specific mental health needs. I continually seek out training and supervision to help me in my work addressing trauma.

Before we can make significant changes in our lives, we must each feel safe and understood. Taking the first step to pursue therapy can be intimidating, regardless of your lived experience or background. Wherever you end up, I hope you find someone who will hold space for all the complexities of your life. I would be honored to open that space to you.
